Killing Time

Killing Time, is a chronological documentary of my fourth deployment to Iraq and first to Afghanistan with the Marines of Company C, a reserve Military Police unit out of Dayton, Ohio. Through the media, combat and death are well documented and considered by many to be the only truth of war. However, the vast majority of those who have served in the Middle East haven’t experience those things at all. The occasional moments of extreme excitement and fear are there, but more present in the mind is specter of utter boredom. Killing Time seeks to shed light on the aspect of war most felt by those who have served and perhaps unknown to those who haven’t: the passing of time until the day you head home. We fought no enemy. The only thing we killed was time.
